At DCH Tustin Acura, we want our customers to be safe on the road. This is why we are providing tips on how to stay safe in the event you experience a roadside emergency.

If you experience a vehicle emergency while driving on the road, you want to move your car to an emergency lane, median, or a clear, grassy area. This is, so you do not interfere with oncoming traffic and so that other vehicles will be able to avoid colliding into your vehicle. If you have flares or triangles at hand, you want to use these to signal to fellow motorists and emergency personnel that your vehicle is in trouble.

Another useful safety tip is to not leave children or pets in your vehicle during an emergency. Cars can quickly overheat, and children and pets can suffocate inside.
